Annual Nature Walk 2012- 
Asa Wright Nature Centre 

On Republic Day 2012 our Annual Nature Walk took us to the Asa Wright Nature Centre in Arima.

Monastic Visit  2012

Brother Anilananda and Brahmachari Caesar visited the group in February 2012. This was in celebration of our group's 50th anniversary.

Monastic Visit  2006

Brahmachari Abrao and Brahmachari Augusto visited the group from March 8th - March 10th 2006. There was also time for an informal gathering at the Wild Fowl Trust in Pointe a Pierre, and for a trip to Maracas Bay.

SRF Booth At Peace Festival 2012 

On Saturday 9th June 2012 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm the 2nd Trinidad and Tobago World Peace Festival was held at the National Academy for the Performing Arts in Port of Spain. The Group showcased Paramahansa Yogananda’s publications as well as CDs and DVDs featuring the SRF monastics. This is an annual event.

Early Beginnings In Trinidad & Tobago       At Cap-de-Ville Point Fortin Around 1958
These pictures show some of the early beginnings of the SRF Group in Trinidad and Tobago. It was located in Cap-de-Ville, Point Fortin. The first monastic visit to the group was by Brahmachari Melvin. The group eventually merged with the San Fernando group and services were held at the Rehabilitation Center.
50th Anniversary Social 2012 

The Group celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2012. This was celebrated with a social at the home of one of the devotees.

Edith Falls, Chaguaramas- Nature Walk, 2014

On Wednesday 24th September 2014, members of the San Fernando SRF Meditation Group had their Annual Nature Walk at Edith Falls, Chaguaramas. This uphill hike into the Northern Range was about 1.2km long (30minutes walk one way). At the end was a beautiful waterfall and lake.

 
Wild Fowl Trust- Nature Retreat 2015

On Monday, 16th February, 2015 from 10am to 2pm members went to the Wild Fowl Trust, Point-a-Pierre for their Nature Retreat. They had a lovely and deeply inspiring meditation service before walking around the Trust. After this, they listened to an SRF talk (CD) by Br. Anandamoy. They then had lunch and fed some uninvited yet welcomed guests - peacocks and peahens.

       Turure Falls, Valencia 2015
 

On Thursday, 24th September 2015, members of the San Fernando SRF Meditation Group had their Annual Nature Walk at Turure Falls, Valencia. This uphill hike into the Northern Range was about an hour's walk one way. They built up quite a sweat but at the end, magical and mystical waterfalls and pools awaited them.

 
Wild Fowl Trust- Nature Retreat 2016
 

On Monday, 8th February, 2016 from 10am to 2pm members went to the Wild Fowl Trust, Point-a-Pierre for their Nature Retreat. The Trust had the perfect ambience for members to have a deeply spiritual and inspiring meditation. What a productive way to enjoy the Carnival Monday!

 
Screening of AWAKE: THE LIFE OF YOGANANDA
 

On Tuesday, 21st June, 2016 (International Day of Yoga) everyone headed down to Daaga Hall, University of the West Indies, St. Augustine for the screenings of the documentary, AWAKE! Screenings were at 10am and 6pm. At 6pm, the High Commissioner of  India, His Excellency Gauri Shankar Gupta addressed the audience. Mr. Andre Rocke did a fantastic guided meditation, Kirk Budhooram greeted the audience from the San Fernando Group and Mrs. Sita Rampersad presented a hardcopy of the AOY to an Officer of the Indian High Commission, Dr. Deepak Pandey.

 
YogaFest, 2016
 

Courtesy of the High Commission of India, San Fernando SRF Meditation Group was offered a booth at the IHC's YogaFest 2016 at Divali Nagar on Sunday, 26th June, 2016 to celebrate the International Week of Yoga.

 
Two Head River, Arouca - Nature Walk, 2016

On Republic Day (Saturday, 24th September, 2016), the San Fernando SRF Group had set out again for a daring hike filled with fun and adventure. We tried to hike through Two-Head river to a Spring Bridge but a deep pool prevented us from reaching the bridge. However, we had lots of fun trekking through the river.

Hacienda Jacana, Talparo- Nature Walk, 2018

On Republic Day (Monday, 24th September, 2018), the San Fernando SRF Meditation Group visited a hidden paradise, suitable for relaxation and meditation, deep within Talparo. We all went together and stayed from 10am- 3pm. 

Edith Falls, Chaguaramas- Nature Walk, 2019

On Tuesday, 24th September 2019, members of the San Fernando SRF Meditation Group had their Annual Nature Walk at Edith Falls, Chaguaramas. Even though we had visited this natural wonder before, we did not get enough of God's majestic waterfall. This uphill hike into the Northern Range was about 1.2km long (30minutes walk one way). At the end, we enjoyed the Divine Master's beautiful waterfall and lake.

Wild Fowl Trust, Point-a-Pierre - Nature Retreat, 2020

On Carnival Monday, 24th February, 2020, members of the San Fernando Meditation Group had their Annual Retreat at the Wild Fowl Trust. Together, we meditated among the birds and butterflies of this exotic Trust. Peacocks, parrots. ducks, Scarlet Ibis and smaller birds kept us company as we sat in silence to commune with our Beloved Divine.
